I think you would agree when I say that everybody loves a happy occasion. There are various things to take into consideration when planning for a baby shower. If you're planning one, here are some of the things that you have to consider when planning for a baby shower (not necessarily in order):

1. Theme

You can choose the theme or ask the mother-to-be of her preferences. The theme will be important since it affects most of the other considerations mentioned below like invitations, food and beverages and venue.

2. Date

Usually, baby showers are given four to six weeks prior to the baby's due date. You should try to consider the schedules of the people and friends who will be attending the baby shower and try to find a date where as much people can be as available to attend the party.

3. Invitations

There are a lot of baby shower invitations that you can find online but try to find one which matches the theme of your party. Try to send the invitation weeks in advance so that those invited can squeeze in the event to their schedule.

4. Food and Beverages

Don't forget the food and beverages because no party will be complete without it. Sandwiches, burgers, juice, soft drinks and some finger foods come in handy although it really depends on your party's theme, budget and time. Just don't forget the cake!

5. Venue

You can decorate the venue according to the theme that you picked.You can do it in the mother-to-be's house, your home or another venue where you can accommodate the number of guests that you're anticipating to come.

It is important to always consider your budget because everything boils down to this one. Work according to your budget.

Halloween Party and Stuff

I can't believe that halloween's just around the corner. It seems like it was only yesterday when we held a halloween party at home and now, store aisles are again filled with halloween decors and costumes for young and old - even plus size halloween costumes.

This year, we are planning to host a party. A friend who attended our party last year already mentioned that they have plans to have a halloween party this year. Since we have almost the same circle of friends (and out of respect to her), my family and I will just attend her costume party for the halloween. It saves our common friends from the dilemma of deciding which party to attend and it will also save us for spending a lot when histing a party of our own.

Celebrating Fathers Day

We celebrated Father's Day last Sunday, and it was one week in advance! I can't remember who told me that it's already Father's Day but I obviously believed him/her - thus, we'll be celebrating Father's Day twice this year. LOL!

According to Wikipedia, Father's Day is observed to celebrate fatherhood and male parenting; as well as to honor and commemorate fathers and forefathers. The date of celebrating Father's Day differs from country to country but majority celebrate it every third Sunday of June.
